August 27, 2024

CRL (Possession Control Substance) Crest Forest Dr/S State Hwy 138 – Deputy conducted a pedestrian check on suspect for outstanding warrants – suspect was in possession of a container with suspected methamphetamine in it – suspect admitted the substance was meth – said he snorted it in the morning – suspect had two glass meth pipes in his vehicle parked at Hilltop Liquor – suspect asked if deputies could leave his car in the parking lot – owner of business was advised and OK with the car staying in lot – suspect was arrested and booked at CDC for violation

GVL (P/M/S Danger Weapon) Green Valley Lake Rd – CHP transfer – Male is being verbal with RP – male is squatting on a vacant lot in a trailer – RP is outside trying to water her garden – RP is feeling threatened – does not see any weapons – believes he may be hiding something due to hearing gunshots in the evening hours – male has a criminal record – RP believes he is on drugs, marijuana and mushrooms – arrest made

GVL (Grand Theft) N State Hwy 173 – Between 8/24/24 at 12:00 a.m. and 8/26/24 at 7:00 a.m., unknown suspect(s) cut two locks at a jobsite – took a jack hammer with bits valued at about $700.00 and a Predator 9000kw generator valued at about $800.00 – the cut locks were unable to be located – there was no video surveillance – provided report number – will follow up with serial numbers and photos if able to locate

ARB (Embezzlement) Fir Dr – Subject was employed by the water district for about eight months – during time of employment, he used district funds to spend about $11,073.00 – water district cannot account for items purchased and suspected he embezzled the money through items he bought – items were often about twice the amount they cost new, when he was buying them used – follow-up needed

ARB (Fraud Use Credit Card) Music Camp Rd – RP in Twin Peaks Station lobby – RP wants to report fraudulent charges on her Capital One account made through Instacart beginning in February – RP advised to cancel card – RP did not have any suspect information – wanted the incident documented – report provided for documentation – RP will follow up with further credit card information

LAA (Burglary) State Hwy 189 – On 8/27/24 at about 5:50 a.m., an unknown white male adult entered the business storage area at the rear of the business through an unlocked gate – male wore an orange shirt and baseball hat – subject looked at the business security camera and pushed it up blocking the camera from recording anything further – the only known item reported stolen was a green, unknown brand, dolly valued at $100.00 – business will provide copy of video and will report if additional items are noticed missing

VOE (Possession Danger Drugs) Redwood Ln – Three subjects contacted in abandoned structure – paraphernalia and controlled substance located inside structure – suspect claimed ownership – suspect arrested and cite released – all subjects advised to leave the premises

CRL (Miscellaneous Incident) Finhaut Dr – Reference premise history for fire incident – neighbor showed surveillance video of residential fire that occurred Monday – video shows what appears to be the start of fire – neighbor will download footage and provide it tomorrow via flash drive – ongoing investigation

LAA (Assault) Stater Bros – CHP transfer – RP reporting an unknown white female, later identified, hit him with an empty soda can in the parking lot of Stater Bros – RP wanted to press charges for the assault – signed a citizens arrest form – denied medical attention – suspect was transported and booked at CDC for the assault – suspect signed the citation – a copy was left with her property at CDC 

CRL (Possession Control Substance) Lake Dr/Springwater Rd – RP can see two subjects trying to break into the vacant house to the right of the bank – deputies contacted suspects in front of location drilling door – both suspects were detained pending investigation – during the investigation, a white crystalline substance was discovered in a lunch pail – suspect 1 stated the contents of the lunch box belonged to him and that they were hired to change the door knob at the location – suspect 1 arrested

TPK (Found Narcotics) Twin Peaks Station – Medicine drop box disposal from Twin Peaks Station lobby 

LAA (Missing Person) Cedar Ridge Dr – RP in Twin Peaks Station – RP wanted to report her husband had not returned home after they had dinner on 8/28/24 – they argued at dinner about drinking while working at their business – RP concerned that subject has a 9mm handgun registered to him in his vehicle – husband later contacted her and was at the business – teletype entered for returned missing person

CPP (Over $200 Closed) Briarwood Ln – RP in Twin Peaks Station – RP dropped check for $98.00 off at Crestline post office for Crestline Water bill – unknown subject(s) stole the check – altered it for $4,300.00 – check was altered to be made out to subject with matching signature on back of check – bank cashed check for amount in account, about $1,200.00 – cashed at unknown Wells Fargo – RP contacted bank on 8/27/24 and reported the fraud – RP did not have any other suspect information – did not know anyone by name on check

LAA (Domestic Battery) Lake Arrowhead Resort – RP was choked by her boyfriend in the room – put his arm on her neck – happened for about 12 seconds – could not breathe, lips turned purple – RP added that she punched him in the face to get away – female wants to leave because she is worried that because she punched her boyfriend in the face, she will be in trouble – RP believes the male may still be in the room – intake asked RP to wait in a safe place – advised to call back if male is seen near her – arrest made

VOE (Domestic Battery) Maple Ln – CHP transfer – Suspect and victim were in a dating relationship for 10 years – lived together for eight years – on 8/30/24 at about 12:45 a.m., while the victim and suspect were in bed, suspect shoved, punched and elbowed the victim in the left arm – suspect arrested

August 31, 2024

VOE (Death Investigation) Forest Ln – 50-year-old male with hypertension – no trauma or foul play – next of kin notified

GVL (Assault) Lakeside Dr – Neighbor from around the corner came over and pushed neighbor and wife down – male heard in the background saying he was going to kill him – subjects in the background were advising subject was making threats and he does own weapons – suspect was angered over a miscommunication – suspect confronted subject at his residence and an argument ensued – suspect admitted was at subject’s property and was wrong – medical declined – deputy arrested suspect – he was transported to CDC

 September 1, 2024

CRL (Under Influence Drugs) Chateau Dr – Female possibly on drugs walking up and down the street yelling to herself – suspect contacted during a call for service – subject showed signs and symptoms of being under the influence – arrest made – suspect booked at CDC

CRL (Theft by Fraud) Playground Dr – On Sunday, 9/1/24, deputy was dispatched in response to a report of theft by fraud – RP stated that she received a phone call from a male individual identifying himself – he claimed to work for Arrowhead Credit Union’s fraud department – subject told victim that there was fraudulent activity on her account and immediate action was required – during the call, subject managed to obtain verification codes from the RP allowing him to gain access to her account and locked her out – RP later discovered that approximately $40,000.00 had been withdrawn from her account and transferred to unknown individuals – unfortunately, RP could not provide further details regarding the transactions due to Arrowhead Credit Union’s actual fraud department had locked her account pending a follow-up by a representative on Tuesday

TPK (False Pretense) Twin Peaks Station – RP defrauded by a contractor who claimed he had a license – RP checked and saw that subject did not have a valid contractor’s license – investigation needed

September 2, 2024

CRL (Domestic Disturbance) Moon Dr – CHP transfer – subjects are married – tonight both were drinking – subject 1 wanted to drive away, but subject 2 would not get out of the truck – subject 1 pulled subject 2’s hair twice – once inside the residence and once inside the truck – did not have injuries from her hair being pulled – no complaint of pain – report was taken for documentation

CRL (P/M/S Danger Weapon) Forest Shade Rd/Lake Rd – During a vehicle check, vehicle found to have expired registration since 10/22 – suspect cited – vehicle towed – suspect admitted to possessing two firearms within the vehicle – weapons taken as evidence – case will be forwarded to the DA for filing

GVL (Burglary) Forest Road – On Monday, 9/2/24, deputy responded to a residential burglary investigation – between June and September, unknown subject(s) gained entry to the property by forcing their way through a dog door – victim reported that a Heritage Security safe had been broken into, but nothing was stolen as the safe was empty – victim did not have any video surveillance of the incident – no additional leads were available – on 9/2/24, while en route to the call, deputy was flagged down on Crab Flats by a second victim reporting a burglary at his property – sometime between 8/17/24 and 8/31/24, unknown subject(s) used a tool to enter through the rear sliding glass door – stole $3,700.00 telescope from residence – additionally, a 2003 Blue Yamaha Banshee was also stolen – victim did not have any video surveillance of the incident, but will forward information regarding the stolen quad – no additional leads are available at this time

CPP (Under Influence Drugs) Crest Forest Dr – Deputy responded to a domestic disturbance call involving a mother and her son – upon arrival, deputy spoke with the RP who informed deputy that she had been in a verbal argument with her son – son was in the upstairs bathroom – initially refused to speak with deputies – RP said subject had a history of drug use and appeared to be under the influence – deputy instructed male to step out of the bathroom – when he complied, deputy placed his hands behind his back, handcuffed him and escorted him to the back seat of patrol vehicle to further investigate the situation – while deputy spoke with male, another deputy administered field sobriety test – suspect failed – suspect was arrested and transported to CDC

CRL (P/M/S Danger Weapon) Geneva Dr – While RP raked around his property, he saw a cylinder device with wires and a cigarette attached to the wires – RP last raked his yard on 7/4/24 – never saw any suspicious devices – RP called law enforcement, who contacted bomb/arson, who responded and safely cleared the device – device was found to be an actual IED filled with black powder – RP and neighbors all got along and stated they had no threats or suspicious people/vehicles in the area – no recent explosions or fireworks in area – area check negative for additional devices or video

LAA (Missing Person) No Given – On 9/1/24 at approximately 8:00 p.m., RP last saw his brother at their residence in Beaumont – On 9/2/24 at approximately 4:24 a.m., subject texted his Bitcoin information to the RP – RP woke up at 7:00 a.m. and noticed subject’s vehicle gone – at 4:00 p.m., RP arrived home and could not find or contact subject – at approximately 11:00 p.m., RP found note in subject’s bedroom about going to lake in Lake Arrowhead where his body can be found – deputies located subject’s vehicle near Lake Arrowhead marina – he left phone/wallet/keys in vehicle – located his sandals on courtesy dock – area check negative for subject pending video and scheduled dive in morning – secured vehicle and personal items – teletype sent for missing person – advised RP
