At their Oct. 5 afternoon tea, the Mountain Christian Women’s Fellowship will hear from Teresa Alexander, speaking on “Through the Storm.”

Alexander, the director of the Mountain Pregnancy Center, will share her story of how God miraculously saved her grandson Alexander, who was born with half a heart.

“I knew right away that God allowed us to go through this journey so I could share His goodness with those hurting and needing hope,” she said.

Music at the tea will be provided by Amber Toscano, who homeschools five children and has a small homestead in Twin Peaks with her husband, Jason. “Although I grew up in a musical family,” she said, “it has only been of late that I have gathered up the courage to share my voice with others.”

Ladies attending the teas have started to wear unique and beautiful tea hats; everyone is encouraged to wear their own special afternoon tea hats. Guests are also asked to bring their own special tea cups.

The tea will take place at Church of the Woods (1410 Calgary Drive, Lake Arrowhead) from 1 to 3 p.m.

To make a reservation, call or text Beth at (909) 223-1285; $10 is payable at the door. Child care is available by reservation for $1.00 per child.

For those unable to attend, the tea will be live streamed on three platforms: www.facebook.com/MountainChristianFellowship; www.facebook.com/ChurchoftheWoods; http://churchofthewoods.org.
