Two collegiate wrestlers employ their skills to fend off a grizzly bear

How many wrestlers does it take to fend off an angry grizzly bear?
Well, apparently only two middleweight wrestlers.
Brady Lowry and Kendall Cummings found themselves in an unscheduled wrestling match while they were hiking in the Wyoming wilderness. The two were “shed” hunting (searching for antlers that have been shed by elk and deer) and just enjoying time off the mat.
Grizzly bears are known to have keen senses. However, in this case, when the bear started the match, it failed to take into account what sport these athletes specialized in at the collegiate level.
The bear most likely calculated that its weight advantage of approximately 500 pounds would be the key to victory, as both wrestlers combined were just over 300 pounds. Nevertheless, the battle ended in a draw, despite the unfair matchup.
Both Brady and Kendall did need to be treated for broken bones and major blood loss, and they received dozens of staples to seal their lacerations, but that bear learned a lesson that day. It will certainly think twice next time it decides to tangle with two tenacious wrestlers. Heck, even one wrestler would have been more than the bear could handle!
