The ever-popular farmers market in Running Springs will continue on Saturdays through Nov. 23, with hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. At the farmers market, guests will find everything from hand-carved animal sculptures and pumpkins (1) to a wide array of colorful vegetables (2). Sculptor Alexandre Safonov and his wife, Sheila Bowden, who live in Running Springs, create the delightful sculptures in their Big Bear workshop. Safonov also works in bronze and was eager to share his portfolio. Cowboy’s Harvest, which raises its vegetables in San Bernardino, had everything from fresh ginger to beets, watermelon to squash, tomatoes to corn and more for sale. In addition, the market has jewelry, freshly roasted coffee, tie-dyed clothing, hats, blankets and food for sale. The market is located in the field between First Foundation Bank and the Running Springs branch library.
