Encompass owner Louis Boehle is ready to fill this young lady’s bag with candy.
As far as candy goes, there were plenty of Whoppers available all along Lake Drive and in Top Town during last Saturday’s Crestline Trick or Treat the Merchants, but the real whopper was the number of trick or treaters filling their baskets and bags with a wide selection of candies, to include Butterfingers, Snickers, Tootsie Rolls, M&Ms, lollypops, Baby Ruths, Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups and (thank goodness) no candy corn.
Crestline Chamber of Commerce President and Encompass Antiques co-owner Louis Boehle told the Alpine Mountaineer, “I would say there were easily over 500 children and family members in my area of town today.” Boehle’s estimate may be modest, since the sidewalks along Lake Drive were jam-packed with trick or treaters dressed up as angels, princesses, monsters, dinosaurs, ghosts, zombies and superheroes.
