Giving thanks on the mountain

Nov 21, 2024 | Communities, Crestline

People gathered at a large indoor meeting event.

What are you thankful for this year?

Families will gather across the mountain on Nov. 28, enjoying a delicious meal and sharing their gratitude.

For those who have no family to spend the day with, there are two opportunities to gather with friends – new and old – on Thanksgiving day.

The Golden Oaks Senior Citizens will hold their community Thanksgiving dinner from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hootman Center (2929 Running Springs School Road). In addition to the traditional turkey dinner, there will be games and prizes for the children.

The San Moritz Lodge will once again be the site of the free community Thanksgiving dinner in Crestline. The Crestline-Lake Gregory Rotary Club has joined forces with the Crest Forest Senior Citizens Club, the Lake Gregory Church and a number of community members to organize this dinner, which will be served from noon to 4 p.m.

No reservations are needed for either dinner – just show up ready to enjoy a great meal and visit with other community members.
