Just before enjoying a lunch of ham, scalloped potatoes, Harvard beets, green bean casserole, salad and a variety of desserts, members of the Golden Oaks Senior Citizens who had donned “ugly” sweaters lined up to be judged.

Following three games of Bingo and the luncheon itself, the winners were announced.

Taking first place was Dave Fogel; second went to Dennis Robison and third to Bill Freer. Each received a cash award, as did the winners of the Bingo games.

All those awards plus the luncheon were funded by proceeds from the club’s thrift store, located at 31908 Hilltop Boulevard in Running Springs.
