The most recent incident occurred on the evening of Saturday, Dec. 14 when a fire of unknown origin started in an attached garage of a residence in the 1100 block of Acadia Drive, near Yosemite Drive in Lake Arrowhead.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the structure fully involved in flames. The blaze was knocked down in about 20 minutes, with no injuries reported.

Around midnight that same evening, a second blaze was reported at a home on West Victoria Court in Arrowhead Villas.

A similar scenario occurred in the early morning hours of Thursday, Oct. 10 when a three-bedroom, three-bath home in the 24000 block of Bernard Drive in Crestline was consumed by a fire, which quickly spread to surrounding brush and an adjoining residence. This incident was followed by another fire of unknown origin that broke out around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9 and laid waste to two adjoining hillside homes on Chillon Drive in Crestline. Fire officials were not available for comment at press time.
