Crowded bowling alley with people and colorful shirts.

The Rim of the World Educational Foundation will hold its Bowling for Education on Sunday, April 13 at the Rim Bowling & Entertainment Center in Crestline.

Novice and seasoned bowlers are encouraged to join this fun, community-wide fundraiser to help raise funds to benefit local students and teachers.

Check-in for this western-themed event will begin at 12:15 p.m. There will be a “best western outfit contest” complete with prizes. DJ Frank will spin the tunes throughout the afternoon.

Register as an individual bowler or as a team of six. Cost is $60 per bowler. You don’t bowl? Come cheer on your friends for $20 and join in the fun of watching your friends bowl. All bowlers and spectators will enjoy pizza, salad and a soft drink. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Register at https://tinyurl.com/RimEdBowling. For more information, contact Ana Rojas at Ana@ComfyCommunter.com or (727) 776-8128.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to educational programs in the Rim of the World Unified School District to support Partnership with Schools awards for all Rim schools, the CTE (Career Technical Education) classes and the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program.

Rim Bowling & Entertainment Center is located at 23991 Lake Drive in Crestline.

The event will be held on Sunday, April 14 from noon to 3:30 p.m. at the Rim Bowling & Entertainment Center in Crestline.

This year’s theme is Bowling, Beatniks and Bell Bottoms. Bowlers will send their balls rolling down the lanes while listening to the best of the 1960’s rock ‘n roll spun by DJ Frank. Teams will be made up of six players. Special awards will go to the best scoring team and the most creative 60’s team costumes.

You don’t bowl? Come cheer on your friends and join the fun of watching and enjoying the food and drinks as a spectator for $25 per person. The cost to register a team of six bowlers is $330 ($55 per player). That includes bowling and shoes, food, soft drinks and one drink ticket.

To register a team or as a spectator, visit https://rimeducationfoundation.org/bowling-for-education or contact Jacqueline Lauder at jslauder714@gmail.com or (714) 615-1436 no later than April 7.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to educational programs in the Rim of the World Unified School District to support Partnership Grants for all Rim schools, technology, CTE/Regional Occupation Program classes and the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program.
