The Rim of the World. Communities Scholarship Council encourages all local high school seniors to apply for their scholarships, which range from $500 to $2,500.

The application deadline is March 28.

Since 1957, the Council has been providing monetary assistance to local graduates. In 2024, they awarded 54 scholarships totaling $43,000.

Scholarships may be used for college, trade schools and vocational schools to help cover the costs of tuition, books and other student fees.

Applications may be downloaded at www.rimsd.k12.ca.us/10520_2. Mountain High School students may also pick them up in the school’s front office.

Applications and letters of recommendation for Rim High students are due by 2 p.m. on Friday, March 28 at the College & Career Center. Mountain High students must deliver their applications and letters to the school’s front office by the same deadline.

Scholarships will be presented to Rim High seniors at the senior scholarship night on May 19 at 6:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Mountain High seniors will receive their awards at graduation on June 9.

Anyone interested in donating toward a scholarship or creating a memorial scholarship to honor a loved one should contact the Rim of the World Communities Scholarship Council by mail at P.O. Box 1816, Blue Jay, CA 92317, by email at rimscholarshipcouncil@gmail.com or by phone at (909) 337-2997.
