March is ending soon and the daffodils are budding, all of which are visual indications that spring is in the air and summer should be arriving soon. That means it is time to begin planning the community events that occur in our mountains during the spring and summer months.
The well-anticipated Market at Lake Gregory will be kicking off its 2025 season, beginning on Memorial Day weekend, May 23, 2025. The Marketplace with vendors will be open from 4 to 8 p.m. each Friday evening, with the band playing from 5 to 8 p.m. The Market will be set up in the North Shore parking lot for the first three weeks; after the beach opens for the summer, it will move to the South Shore area.
The Market offers locations for vendors to set up and sell their merchandise and display their goods. It also offers a great, free, live music concert each Friday night on the shores of Lake Gregory. The Market offers plenty of parking for the customers.
They are now seeking sponsors for the summer concert series and will accept applications from returning vendors and bands that want to participate in this summer’s festivities. The vendor and band applications are already open to returning artists and will go live to the public the first week of April 2025. Openings in both booth and band slots are anticipated, but those who apply first are reviewed first. The application is available at www.wearsthemountain.com/pages/themarketatlakegregory.
The Market at Lake Gregory is one of the most popular and free weekly activities in Crestline every summer. It attracts hundreds of shoppers and concert goers every week. Several successful year-round businesses that now have storefront locations began at the Market at Lake Gregory, so it is good for those who have hobbies and crafts that need a spot to begin as a business and for those who want to capitalize on their home businesses.
The Market at Lake Gregory runs from May 23, the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, through Aug. 29, the Friday of Labor Day weekend. After taking place in the North Shore parking lot for the first three weeks, it will move to the South Shore pavilion area at 24271 San Moritz Drive.
