The mountain communities are invited to two sunrise services on Easter morning, April 20.

The Lake Arrowhead service will begin at 6:15 a.m. on the beach at the Lake Arrowhead Resort. Pastor Rod Akins of Church of the Woods will deliver the Easter message this year. Danny Arroyo and family will provide the music.

In case of inclement weather, the celebration will be moved indoors at the Resort. Guests are urged to dress warmly and bring beach chairs or blankets to sit on.

The Crestline churches will host a community sunrise celebration beginning at 6:30 a.m. on the deck on the north side of Lake Gregory. Pastors from the local churches will look at the prophecies from Isaiah and the witnesses to the resurrection.

The participating churches include Crestline First Baptist Church, Jubilee Christian Fellowship, Lake Gregory Community Church, Mountain Hope Community Church, New Life Community Church and Woodlands Church.

At both sunrise services cries of “He is risen, He is risen indeed” will be heard.
