Rotarians also picked up litter at MacKay Park on Earth Day.
On Earth Day, April 22, 15 members of the Rotary Club of Lake Arrowhead picked up litter in four locations around the mountain:
- A section of Highway 173 which the Club has adopted as part of Caltrans’ Adopt-a-Highway program.
- The bus stop shelter in Cedar Glen which the Club sponsors and maintains.
- Rotary Point overlooking Lake Arrowhead on Highway 173 where the bench was donated by the Club in 1954.
- MacKay Park.
The Rotarians gathered about 10 bags of litter.
The day’s efforts were done in honor of the late Cheryl Moxley-Harrison, who was a member of the club. She was involved in a number of projects to improve the environment and spent many hours herself picking up litter.
