The Crestline Chamber of Commerce has announced that nominations for the 2025 Crestline Citizen of the Year are now open, so it is time for members of the community to submit names of those who should be deemed worthy of such an honor. The nomination deadline is June 15.

The 2025 Citizen of the Year will be honored in the Crestline Vibes-2025 Jamboree Days parade with a special parade entry. They will be presented to the community during the Community Picnic on June 29.

The theme for this year’s Jamboree Days is Crestline Vibes-2025. Who do you know who has gone above and beyond their everyday activities to make the mountain community a better place to live? Who is that person who’s done so much to uphold the spirit of the community, and bring pride to the town of Crestline? Who is that special someone who gives selflessly of themselves, lifts others up and embodies and symbolizes all that it means to be a part of our special Crestline community?

That person needs to be nominated to be honored as Citizen of the Year.

It is not difficult to nominate that unique person, but the nominator does need to think of the many reasons they want to honor that person. A short paragraph detailing the reasons of the nomination needs to be written to persuade the committee to choose your nominee.

Last year about a dozen people were nominated resulting in Jerry Renfro becoming the 2024 Citizen of the Year, chosen for his many years of volunteer service, voluntarily going out of his way to help others, coaching sports teams and being a role model for all around him. Renfro had been nominated by several persons, all explaining different aspects of why he should be chosen.

To submit your nomination for the 2025 Citizen of the Year use this online application link through Jotform: https://form.jotform. com/250725365578163. Make sure to include all their numerous qualifications, explaining why this person would make an excellent Crestline Citizen of the Year and would make the town proud that they were chosen to represent the town in the parade.

As the Chamber of Commerce gears up to celebrate the spirit of mountain living and celebrate the positive vibes that make Crestline a great community as it celebrates this 4th of July, it’s time to recognize those special locals who make our mountain shine all year long. Nominate that perfect person to be the 2025 Crestline Citizen of the Year soon.

The person chosen as the 2025 Crestline Citizen of the Year will be profiled and announced in the Alpine Mountaineer and be presented during the Community Picnic and honored by riding in the 10 a.m. July 5 Jamboree Days parade.
