The Lake Arrowhead Friends of the Library are proud to announce the success of their recent book sale, which raised over $1,200 to support library programs, resources and community outreach initiatives.
Held at the Lake Arrowhead Library parking lot on May 24, 2025, the sale featured thousands of gently used books and DVDs generously donated by community members and library patrons. Volunteers, library staff and Friends of the Library members worked together to organize and run the annual event.
“We are thrilled by the incredible turnout and support we received from the community,” said Mary Jo Alari, president of Friends of the Library. “Every purchase made at the sale directly helps our library continue offering free programs, improved facilities, and expanded resources for everyone.”
Proceeds from the book sale will go toward funding children’s storytime programs, community events, technology upgrades or literacy outreach efforts. The Summer Reading Kickoff Event is scheduled for Saturday, June 7 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Lake Arrowhead Library in Blue Jay.
The Friends of the Library thank all volunteers, donors and shoppers who helped make the event a success and invite the public to join or support future events.
