What we are raising money for
At this year’s Le Grand Picnic, we will be raising funds to help us purchase a GE Definium Tempo X-ray system. Our current X-ray machine is more than 20 years old and has reached the end of its service life. Replacement parts are no longer manufactured, making repairs increasingly difficult – and sometimes impossible. This creates serious risks for both patient care and operational continuity.

Investing in a new X-ray system will significantly enhance our ability to serve the community. The new system offers:

  • Improved image quality. Sharper, clearer images lead to more accurate diagnoses.
  • Reduced radiation exposure. Advanced technology minimizes patient exposure while maintaining high imaging standards.
  • Fully digital workflow. Instant image access and integration with electronic medical records improve efficiency and reduce wait times.
  • Increased throughput. Faster image capture and processing means we can serve more patients each day, helping to reduce backlogs and delays.

A modern X-ray system is not just a technological upgrade; it’s a critical step in ensuring high-quality, safe and efficient care for our patients. Total cost: $220,000.

MCH is the only hospital in the Rim of the World communities and offers 24/7 emergency care, surgical services, a helipad, a full-service laboratory, radiology, primary care, physical therapy and so much more. Thanks to donors, we also have state-of-the-art equipment. With your help, we can continue investing in our campus to ensure high-quality healthcare stays in our community.
