Country Faire enjoys another banner year

Sep 17, 2025 | Lake Arrowhead, Mountain Events

The 2025 Country Faire at the Lake Arrowhead Community Presbyterian Church (LACPC) has come to a close. A “monster” garage sale, with thousands of items donated by members of the church and community, the fair sells items from furniture to clothing to housewares to baked goods.

Stefanie Morrell, one of the leaders of the organizing committee, reported another banner year, with proceeds of approximately $22,000.

“Besides supporting the church, the funds enable us to support many mountain community nonprofits,” Morrell stated. “We’ve always played an active role in our community. Besides direct financial support, we provide space for community groups like the Boy Scouts, Life Stream blood drives and Hearts & Lives, among others. Because of LACPC’s spacious grounds and ample community space, it was once again designated as a Red Cross shelter site in the event of a disaster.”

Additional groups and organizations that use LACPC facilities for their activities include Rebuilding Together, Mountain Homeless Coalition, Rim Theater Group, Mountain Hands, MTARA (the local ham radio group), Rim of the World Recreation and Park District, Special Olympics, Community Yoga, Operation Provider, MountainTop Strings.

Over the past 43 years, the Country Faire has emerged as an anticipated event for mountain residents and visitors alike, with hundreds participating each year. Shoppers start lining up well before the Faire opens at 9 a.m. More than 50 members of the church volunteered their time to make the Faire a reality. Planning typically begins in early summer.

The Lake Arrowhead Community Presbyterian Church is located at 351 Highway 173, just outside Lake Arrowhead Village. Sunday services take place at 10 a.m.
