According to Crestline Chamber of Commerce officials, more than 300 participants flocked to this year’s fourth of five planned Corks & Hops craft beer and wine walk events in the mountain community of Crestline on Saturday, Sept. 13.

The Sawpit Canyon Band entertained at Lake Gregory Trading Company.
Now in its 11th year, the summertime event, originally tagged “Wine and Stein Walk in the Pines,” kicked off at 3 p.m. and wrapped up at 8 p.m.
After checking in, each ticketholder was provided with a wristband containing 10 tear-off tags entitling them to 10 tastings of craft beer or wine at any of the 11 pour stations at local businesses located in Top Town Crestline and the Lake Gregory business district, as well as a souvenir drinking cup.
With the basic ticket, participants were able to enjoy unique tastings from over 30 of Southern California’s craft breweries and wineries, as well as pop-up vendors and live music emanating from four stages. Guests also had an opportunity to visit dozens of Crestline’s local restaurants and stores. With the “Ale You Can Get” ticket, participants were entitled to two full-size pours, as well as the sample tastings.
Free shuttle service between Top Town Crestline and the Lake Gregory business district was available for ticketholders up until 9 p.m. The only restrictions in place were the requirements to abstain from drinking alcoholic beverages outside of designated tasting areas or on the Mountain Transit shuttle bus. Those participants feeling intoxicated were asked to appoint someone as a designated driver.
This year’s final Corks & Hops event, which will have a country/western theme, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4. For tickets and more information, visit corksnhops.com.
