Band performing at Lake Arrowhead Oktoberfest event.

Oktoberfest in the big white tent at Lake Arrowhead Village’s Peninsula Park attracted nearly 1,000 beer fanciers on Oct. 4 and 5 for afternoons filled with beer, authentic German oompah music (1), yodeling, lederhosen, food vendors, and fun and games involving sausage, beer and rubber chickens. Local residents Ron Rothert and Angelina Madrigal (2) enjoyed some German brew. Ron Rothert won the men’s Choke the Chicken contest (3).
