Man arrested after failing to yield
On Monday, Oct. 20, at approximately 8:40 p.m., Deputy E. Burgess initiated a traffic stop on a black Harley Davidson motorcycle for vehicle code violations. The motorcycle driver, later identified as Frank Samuel – 24 of Redondo Beach – failed to yield and a pursuit ensued along Highway 18 into Big Bear.
Patrol units from the Big Bear Station assisted Twin Peaks units during the pursuit as Samuel continued to drive with a disregard for public safety.
Samuel eventually came to a dead end and fled on foot. Deputies chased Samuel and gave him several orders to stop. Samuel resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody. He was booked into Big Bear jail for VC 2800.2 (felony evading), PC 69 (resist arrest) and two out-of-county warrants.
