Rebuilding Together Mountain Communities

While we wait for the first snow of the season to spread across the mountains, we look forward to seeing family and friends – and the consuming of good foods followed by the obligatory belt loosening that comes with it.

We find joy in giving gifts to family and friends. Of course, we enrich our humanity by caring for others and sharing our good fortune with those less fortunate so they may share in the joy of a better life.

Sometimes it feels as if our country is in a tug of war with itself, and we forget about the spreading of love and joy to all in a season built on it. By the simple act of helping our less fortunate neighbors who cannot afford to make simple repairs to their homes, we pass out relief to the worried and most vulnerable neighbors and help renew hope for them. In a nutshell, this is the business of Rebuilding Together Mountain Communities.

We do this work not for praise or accolades but out of love for our mountain communities and the people who live in them. We receive no federal or state government assistance. We raise money in the community and county in which we live and with the generosity of businesses who operate in the Inland Empire, as well as churches, nonprofits and, most importantly, you, the residents of this fantastic series of communities dotting this mountain.

Year after year the areas that we serve have kept us alive when other chapters in larger cities fall and go under during hard times. So, we are blessed with neighbors who have proven how much they care for others, proving it by writing checks and volunteering to help on the last Saturday in April caring for these communities we love.
