Elijah Martinez – who placed first in the TK through Grade 2 Art for Peace contest on the mountain – and Colton Stekkinger – who placed first in the Grade 3 through 5 contest – each placed third in the Rotary District 5330-level Art for Peace contest. The theme of this year’s contest is Mediation: A Tool for Peace. The two boys will be honored at the peace conference on Jan. 24 at the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda.
