Arrest made in road rage case
On Jan. 26 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Arrowhead CHP officers were notified of a crash on SR-330 at the middle passing lanes. The involved parties were in a verbal and physical confrontation while standing in opposite lanes of traffic, creating an unsafe situation for themselves and for the motoring public.
The physical confrontation left one party with injuries. As one party attempted to drive away, the other involved party kicked the right rear door of that vehicle, causing significant damage.
With limited information on the suspect vehicle, CHP personnel used investigative means to locate the suspect and suspect vehicle. During the investigation, it was determined this was a road rage incident and not a crash. As a result of the investigation, one of the involved parties was arrested for felony vandalism.
The CHP advises all motorists that there is construction all throughout the mountain area, resulting in increased traffic. They are urged to exercise patience while driving. Speeding, tailgating and reckless driving are not worth saving perhaps two minutes of drive time.
