At a recent meeting of the local Marine Corps League, a scholarship of $500 was awarded by Commandant Aaron Wienke to Marine Charles Flores to attend Victor Valley College. The scholarship was awarded in the name of the late mountain resident, Daryl Carroll, who was a vibrant “old breed” Marine.
