Nominations sought by chamber — Awards to be made at power breakfast

The Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual membership meeting and awards at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa on Thursday, April 9 from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. The event, entitled Step Into Success, will be a power breakfast featuring a make your own breakfast bowl buffet with keynote speaker Ms. Meredith from Got Rhythm in Ventura.

Meredith has been the featured speaker at many different organizations including most recently the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce. Guests should come dressed in comfortable shoes as she will present a participation program for your business and organizations called Sync For Success.

The presenting sponsor of the event is Southern California Edison, the venue sponsor is the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa with LA Pension Planners serving as the beverage sponsor. Additional sponsorships are still being sought and include perks such as complimentary tickets, complimentary exhibitor tables and more.

Nominations are being accepted for the following awards until March 30:

  • Rising Star Award: Outstanding contribution by a business or business professional that has a new business that has been operating in our community for three years or less.
  • Community Member of the Year: Must be an individual who is a community level member of the chamber and not representing a for-profit business.
  • Large Business of the Year (20+ employees): Must be a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
  • Small Business of the Year (less than 20 employees): Must be a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
  • Volunteer of the Year: Serving on a committee, volunteer position or board of directors at the Chamber.
  • Organization of the Year: A nonprofit member organization that is a member of the Chamber and has provided invaluable services to the community and positively influenced our citizens. Members of the organization must actively participate in service projects and/or provide programs leading to civic improvements, human welfare or environmental enhancement.

Representatives from Supervisor Rowe, Senator Ochoa Bough and other public officials will be on hand to help present the awards.

Tickets for members are $35 and $45 for non-members.
