Christ is risen

Apr 2, 2026 | Communities, Crestline, Front Page, Lake Arrowhead

Mountain pastors and the Easter sunrise committee enjoyed lunch at BIN 189 and firmed up plans for this year’s celebration. Pictured (front row) Doug Bunkers, Bill Stanley, Fr. Jim Gibson. Cries of “Christ is risen, He is risen indeed” will echo across both Lake Arrowhead and Lake Gregory as the sun rises on Easter morning.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave is the central historical event to all Christians and brings together all the church families on the mountain to celebrate our common belief in this wonderful and amazing truth.

The Lake Arrowhead Easter sunrise service – sponsored by 11 area churches – will take place on the beach at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. Pastor Jonathan Trask of the Twin Peaks Community Church will deliver the message with inspirational music by Danny Arroyo and Family.

All are welcome to this 44th annual celebration, which will begin at 6:15 a.m. on April 5.

Several churches are participating in the Crestline sunrise service: First Baptist Crestline, Jubilee Christian Fellowship, Lake Gregory Community, Mountain Hope, New Life Chrisitan and Woodlands Bible.

Tony and Koren Wetmore from Jubilee will lead the music while pastors from the sponsoring churches will share short messages with the theme, “Do you believe in the resurrection?”

The service will begin at 6:30 a.m. on the North Beach patio.

An offering will be taken for the food distribution at Jubilee Christian Fellowship.

Guests at both sunrise services should dress warmly and bring blankets or beach chairs to sit on.
