The Beginning Band (pictured), Advanced Band and strings class from Mary Putnam Henck Intermediate School participated in a Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) Festival at Redlands High School on March 12. The Advanced Band, said Music Director Charlotte Ford, received an overall score of Excellent. “They received a Superior from one of the judges,” Ford was proud to report. All the groups received scores of Excellent in the sightreading portion of the festival, where they perform a piece they had never seen before.
