Time to step up and donate to scholarships

The Rim of the World Communities Scholarship Council awarded 52 scholarships to members of the Rim High Class of 2025.

The Rim of the World Communities Scholarship Council has encouraged all Rim High School, Rim Virtual Academy and Mountain High School seniors to apply for community scholarships for college, trade or vocational schools, which may be used to help cover tuition, books or other student fees. Scholarship amounts range from $500 to $2,500, depending on the donations received from the community.

Since 1957, Rim of the World Communities Scholarship Council has been providing monetary assistance to local high school seniors. The Council is proud to have awarded 52 scholarships to 2025 RHS graduating seniors for a total amount of $42,950.

The Council hopes to raise even more scholarship monies this year from generous community members, businesses and local organizations, so our high school seniors will have the financial assistance and encouragement to help them as they continue their education and training.

Scholarship applications along with letters of recommendation have been submitted by seniors and interviews are scheduled. Scholarship awards will be given out to Rim High seniors at the senior awards night on May 19 in the Rim High Performing Arts Center at 6 p.m. Scholarship awards will be given to Mountain High seniors at the Mountain High graduation ceremony on June 10.

The Council is proud and grateful to be one of the recipients of the annual Ted Roy Charity Foundation golf tournament. Generous scholarships are provided every year, and the Council sincerely thanks the board of the Ted Roy Charity Foundation for their donations.

The Rim of the World Communities Scholarship Council is reaching out and encouraging any and all donations from caring and generous community members, businesses, clubs and service organizations across the mountain. Anyone who would like to donate a “full scholarship” in the amount of $500 or more in your name, your family’s name, your business name, club or service organization, is asked to contact the Council. Those interested in creating a memorial scholarship to honor a loved one should also contact the Council at P.O. Box 1816, Blue Jay, CA 92317, by email at rimscholarshipcouncil@gmail.com or by calling (909) 337-2997.

Please donate now – our students need your help.
