Four charged with robbery

On Monday, April 20, at approximately 10:17 a.m., Highland deputies responded to a reported robbery. As the victim was sitting in his vehicle, an unidentified male suspect brandished a firearm and forcibly took his cell phone, as well as the cell phone of his passenger.

The suspect, later identified as Jace Goudreault – 22 of Highland – fled the area in a vehicle. The victim provided deputies with a description of the suspect and the vehicle he fled in.

During the investigation, deputies located a vehicle matching the victim’s description in the parking lot of a nearby grocery store. The vehicle was occupied by a female, who was later identified as Gloria Benitez, 42 of San Bernardino.

Goudreault was located inside the store with accomplices Marlene Yousseff, 20, and Sabrina Youssef, 20, both of San Bernardino. The trio were attempting to obtain payment for the stolen cell phones by selling them at an ecoATM kiosk. All parties were immediately taken into custody.

Goudreault was transported to the Central Detention Center and was booked on charges of PC 211- Robbery and PC 417.4- Brandishing a Replica Firearm. Marlene Youssef, Sabrina Yousseff and Gloria Benitez, were booked on charges of PC 211- Robbery and PC 182(A)(1)- Conspiracy to Commit a Crime. All are being held on $50,000 bail.

Attempted murder suspect arrested

DATE/TIME: April 19, 2026 / 10:47 P.M.

INCIDENT: PC 664/187(A)- Attempted Murder

LOCATION: 27000 block of Greenspot Road, Highland

SUSPECT(S): Ronald Carter III, Age 23, Resident of Highland

VICTIM(S): Confidential

On Sunday, April 19, at approximately 10:47 p.m., Highland deputies responded the report of a shooting in the 27000 block of Greenspot Road. Deputies responded and located an adult male subject who had been shot. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Through investigation, deputies learned a disagreement occurred between two adult males who sat in their vehicles in a parking lot. One of the subjects involved in the disagreement, later identified as Ronald Carter III – 23 of Highland – fired rounds, struck an occupant in the other vehicle and fled the area in a sedan.

On Monday, April 20, the Highland Detective Bureau contacted Carter at his residence. A search warrant was served at the residence where detectives recovered significant evidence linking him to the shooting. Carter was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for PC 664/187 (A)- Attempted Murder with bail set at $1,000,000.
