The Masonic Lodge in Twin Peaks was filled with cries of “Wine-O” as Soroptimist International of Rim of the World held their Wine-O Bingo fundraiser on April 24.
Richard Pomerantz pulled corks marked with letters and wine varietals. As he called them out, guests marked their cards with beans. And, in between games, he shared wine-related jokes that elicited both chuckles and groans from the guests. Jokes like, “I was having wine with my wife when she said, ‘I love you so much. I don’t know how I could ever live without you.’ I said, “Is that you or the wine talking?’ She said, ‘It’s me talking to the wine.’”

The Masonic Lodge was filled with enthusiastic Wine-O Bingo players.
Prior to the start of the games, guests enjoyed personal charcuterie boxes and either wine, soda or water.
Winners of each game selected a bottle of wine to take home. There was also a lineup of silent auction items, almost all of which featured wine.
In addition to their annual Live Your Dream awards to women, the Soroptimists also sponsor a Walk in the Mountains breast cancer awareness event and Every Girl Counts, a program for girls at Mary Putnam Henck Intermediate School. Proceeds from Wine-O Bingo will help fund these programs.
