The new gym at Rim of the World High School was bustling with activity on May 6 as HAFDRA held its third annual Mountain Health & Resource Fair.

About 40 vendors were on hand to share information on the services they offer. Folks could get information from Rim Family Services, Mountain Counseling & Training, Mountain Meals on Wheels, Mountains Community Hospital, Rim Vets, Mountain Sunrise Rotary Club, Rim of the World Recreation and Park District, a couple of dental practices, several county departments and other agencies.

The line was long for the free sports physicals being offered. And the chairs were filled in the old gym for dental screenings.

In addition, there were free vision and hearing screenings.

SkyPark was offering free bike helmets. A number of children were spotted wearing their helmets as they walked around the fair.

In addition to HAFDRA (Humanitarian Aid for Development and Relief Agency), the fair was sponsored by Rotary and Mountains Community Hospital.

San Bernardino County Fire demonstrated how they rescue a person in a litter.
