Presented by the Crestline Chamber of Commerce, the ever-popular Corks & Hops craft beer and wine monthly festival is returning to Crestline for its eighth year. Since its beginning in 2018, it heralds a new year of fun, on Saturday, June 6. Sip, savor and stroll through town with unique tastings from Southern California’s craft breweries and wineries (no tastings for children and those younger than 21 years old), plus live music, delicious food and, because this is a family friendly event, it also has children’s jump houses.

Corks & Hops is held from 3 to 8 p.m. monthly on the first Saturday of each month from June through October. Because July 4th is on the first Saturday of July this year, and “The Purple Mountain Majesty Jamboree Days” is being held that weekend in Crestline, Corks & Hops will not be held in July but will be held on June 6, Aug. 1, Sept. 5 and Oct. 3 this year.

Stroll back and forth along the sidewalk between stores in town (as a reminder, enjoy the alcoholic beverages at the various tasting stations) where you can visit local merchants, some of which have recently opened for business this year; this helps you get acquainted with the merchants and business owners in the different parts of town.

As usual, there will be a free Mountain Transit shuttle bus, provided by the Chamber of Commerce, to transport participants between the eight tasting stations along Lake Drive and up to the two stations on Crest Forest Drive in Top Town, Crestline. This makes the event easily accessible for everyone.

The theme for the June 6th event is Hawaiian Luau with live music by Illunis, Aloha Summer, Philbillies, Ukelee Hiro and The Dirty Sea. Everyone is encouraged to come dressed ready for Hawaii, in Aloha shirts or muumuus.  The theme for August is Through the Decades, September’s theme is Jersey Boys and October’s theme is Country Western. Come dressed for the theme and have extra fun or come as you are.  See the website for the various breweries and wineries taking part in the event.

To participate in this fun and exciting event, order your tickets in advance online at www.corksnhops.com. Then stop by the check-in stations located on Lake Drive and Crest Forest Drive in Top Town Crestline to get your tasting cup and wristband to participate in the delicious tastings.  You also can buy your tickets and wristbands the day of the event.

A basic Corks & Hops advance ticket is $40, which includes 10 craft beer and/or wine tastings and sipping cups. The “Ale You Can Get” tickets, which are $55, include an additional two full-size pours, 10 craft beer and wine tastings and a souvenir tasting glass. To buy an online ticket, log on to corksnhops.com for advance tickets before they sell out.
