The skies above Lake Arrowhead were filled with activity and bursts of color on July 4.

Beginning at 11 a.m. and then continuing from 5 to 7:15 p.m., a variety of aircraft took to the skies, delighting those who looked up when they heard them coming. From a Mooney to helicopters to the mountain’s own Rob Harrison, the Tumbling Bear, the aircraft helped pay tribute to the nation’s 250th anniversary.

Then, at precisely 9 p.m., those skies lit up with bursts of color in a spectacular fireworks show.

Both the flyovers and the fireworks show were sponsored by the Arrowhead Lake Association.
