The Crestline Chamber of Commerce held a mixer at the Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins in Twin Peaks on the evening of Thursday, Sept. 10. It had many of the elements of fun that made it reflect the positive elements of the community of Crestline.
Upon arrival, the nearly 100 invited guests were able to greet old or new friends and cool off with iced tea, soft drinks and a variety of beer and wines in the resort’s covered reception area.
They also enjoyed sliders, mashed potatoes with a number of toppings and several types of stuffed crepes.
The evening was filled with fun activities, including a duck derby down the creek and waterfalls of the resort’s wedding area. There was a DJ with music for dancing and a photo booth. In addition, they held a trivia contest with questions regarding the history of the resort.
The duck derby drew the attention of the youngsters who were present. They splashed in the water to encourage the rubber duckies to continue their course downstream.
Longtime Lake Arrowhead resident Jack Cooperman said what he liked best about the mixer was “talking with old friends and meeting new friends.”
Dirk Rinker served as the announcer and Tricia Dufour, owner of Pine Rose Cabins, announced the winners of the contests.
