Artist Nancy Van Buskirk was captivated by Jackie and Shadow, the bald eagles who made their nest in Big Bear and who were watched by folks across the nation.
Van Buskirk felt compelled to paint their portraits, which she did. They were displayed at Spade and Spatula in Blue Jay.
Kristin Countryman was also captivated by the eagles and by Van Buskirk’s painting of the two eagles. She was so captivated that she purchased the painting from Van Buskirk.
