Crestline’s final Corks & Hops event for the 2026 season came to a gentle halt on Saturday, Oct. 3, following a fruitful season of beer and wine tasting at stations all along Lake Drive’s business district.
Guests visited the locally famous Sycamore Ranch Winery pour station, with an occasional stop for refueling their taste buds with some burgers along the way. They enjoyed the Bear Valley Blues Band playing at Encompass Antiques, where Buddy’s BBQ and other food vendors could be found. According to Encompass owner Louis Boehle, a total of 430 tickets were sold for the weekend event.
Dozens of local citizens and visitors alike enjoyed one another’s camaraderie at high, tableclothed tables while the band played on. Others took to the dance floor before catching a ride on the next free Mountain Transit bus to Top Town Crestline for more music, dancing and camaraderie.
Though weather prognosticators were predicting 80-degree temperatures, a mid-afternoon breeze blew in late in the day, making for a relatively cool breeze by late afternoon. This was most fortunate for folks relaxing to the country-style music played live by Hilary Watson in Top Town.

Hilary Watson kept country-flavored music alive in Top Town.
