At the Oct. 24 meeting of the Arrowhead Lake Association, the three recently elected directors were seated.
Paul Cate represents the South District, Garin Vartanian the East District and incumbent Justin Frank is the At-Large A representative.
The board said farewell to two of its own: Alan Kaitz and Jim Hannon.
President Bud Macer and Vice President Marilyn Dishell were unanimously reelected to their posts for the coming year.
In his general manager’s report, Mike Pate said the lake is at its highest level at this point in time in many years. A record amount of silt was removed with the work being done in house. “The more silt we remove,” he said, “the less we have to dredge in the future.”
Pate took a moment to brag about ALA’s maintenance team. “They are caught up on every “see it, fix it” ticket,” he said. The only exceptions are ones that can’t be fixed until there is a lower lake level.
“When they started, there were more than 400 items on the list. To hit zero – I commend our guys. Now they have time to do other projects,” Pate said.
He added they are prepping for what they expect to be record rains from El Niño.
