Kathryn Jackson, aka “Nonnie” to the locals, is often seen in her 15-passenger Ford Transit with decal messages “Too Blessed to Be Stressed” and “Too Grateful to be Hateful.”

She would like to sing songs of praise for the very tailored post-surgical recovery program at Mountains Community Hospital that was offered her after double knee replacements at St. Bernadine by Dr. Walters.

“I was appreciative on a daily basis of the skilled care I received from the entire staff, which for sure has contributed to my fast recovery,” Nonnie said. “I cannot imagine living on this mountain without the awesome care from the recovery team at MCH. “Now,” she said, “I can get back to giving rides to all you veterans.”
