Paint the Plow CHE 1

Before the students started painting the plows, the CHP gave a short talk on bus stop safety
during the winter.

This is a good message any time of the year.

Once again this year, the students at Charles Hoffman Elementary School put their artistic
talents to work on snowplows – five of them from Caltrans and San Bernardino County.
“Since we started doing Paint the Plow,” said organizer Jaime Stiansen, “we have wanted to
collaborate with the high school. This is the first year we have been able to do it.”
Students from Morgan Stehmeier’s art class joined their younger peers, adding their own
touches to the plows.
Several businesses donated paint and other necessary resources: Z Painting, Rim Forest
Lumber, Milliorn Painting and the Rusty Hammer.
While the CHP had the students gathered in one spot, they gave a short talk on bus stop safety
during the winter.
