Josh Luker wrote of his appreciation for his wife, Marley, who was quick to grab a shovel and help dig out their cars.

“I’ve seen a few posts from wives appreciating their husbands during this unprecedented time,” Josh Wade Luker wrote on Facebook. “I want to make a post honoring those wives and, more importantly, my wife, Marley.”

Luker went on to say he appreciated Marley “for having hot meals ready when I come inside, for keeping the fire going, for throwing the wet clothes in the dryer and having a dry pair of socks ready, for bringing me out a shot when she hears me cussing out an inanimate object, for taking adventures with me in waist deep snow, for grabbing a shovel and helping me defeat the Great White Monster and, above all else, for helping me stay sane in a time when sanity is fleeting.

“There is no way I could have gotten through this without you,” Luker said to his wife.

He added that he also appreciates all of his friends’ wives – “who are also dear friends to me” –  for “keeping their boys warm, fed and loved. I’m looking forward to telling a few lies with y’all, sitting in the sun, cold beer in hand.

“This, too, shall pass.”
