Letters to the Editor -The story of the right stuff

Nov 15, 2023 | Letters to the Editor, Opinion Editorials

In my 40 years living, working and volunteering on the mountain, among the many outstanding citizens I have encountered one stands out.

Local businessman Dr. Hugh Bialecki, president of Save Our Forest Association (SOFA), has managed to successfully challenge THREE GIANTS: 1. Nestlé/Arrowhead Springs (Strawberry Creek); the county (Church of the Woods/Little Bear Creek); and Cal Fire (Little Bear Creek homeowners).

The celebration on Nov. 4 demonstrated the importance of collaboration among various organizations and citizens. One person missing in action to be celebrated was the late water guru, Ralph Wagner, who joined us in spirit.
