The Crest Forest Senior Citizens’ Club would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!

After last winter’s mayhem, the club is proceeding very carefully when it comes to scheduling winter events. There are a couple of new(ish) interest groups at Leisure Shores starting this month: the Photography Group returns; the first meeting will explore an iconic photograph and its fascinating backstory. Also coming this month is “Introduction to Spanish,” led by native speaker Jeronimo Breen. These are just a couple of the many groups offered at Leisure Shores, appealing to a variety of interests.

The senior nutrition lunches at the San Moritz Lodge are served every Tuesday and Thursday at noon. They are free although a $3 suggested contribution is appreciated. They offer both good food and fun conversation. Coordinator Penny Shubnell has often said the social aspect of these lunches is as important as the nutrition factor.

Since 1959, the Crest Forest Senior Citizens’ Club has offered social, educational and life-enriching activities to seniors in the mountain communities aged 50-plus.

Their clubhouse, Leisure Shores, is located at 24658 San Moritz Drive.

For more information, call the club’s office at (909) 338-5036 or visit their website at crestlineseniorcitizens.org and their Facebook page at www.facebookcom/crestforestseniors. For more information on activities, send a message to Activities@thinmail.net.
