Members of the Crest Forest Senior Citizens’ Club would like to express their thanks to the mountain community for all the support they received for their recent Spring Fling fundraiser. They hope that everyone who attended had a great time; special thanks to those who contributed to make it possible.
Now that the weather is warming up, the Club is becoming more active as well. A Duffy boat excursion is planned for members later this month and the Science Group will be touring the Crestline wastewater treatment plant.
After a hiatus, P.E.A.R.L.S. (Program for Enriching Active Rewarding Lives of Seniors) is back on Tuesday mornings at 9:30. Provided at no cost by Rim Family Services, the program offers games, discussions and useful information for those who may have mobility problems or just want to get out of the house a bit.
The senior nutrition lunches continue to be offered every Tuesday and Thursday at noon at the San Moritz Lodge. They’re open to everyone aged 60+. You do not need to be a member to attend. Lunches are free; a $3 suggested contribution is appreciated to help pay for things not covered by their funding.
