The support and unity shown at Le Grand Picnic fundraiser on July 21 was truly amazing. We want to thank everyone who attended, raised their foam fingers, and helped us make our Field of Dreams a reality.

The funds we raise at Le Grand Picnic – $393,000 this year – help the hospital make important improvements and purchase equipment that wouldn’t be possible with patient revenue alone.

We owe a big thank you to several individuals who played key roles in making this event a success. Special thanks to Robbin Nordsten, our exceptional mistress of ceremonies, and her husband, Jay, for their dedication to this event over the past six months. They’ve helped us transform the event into something extraordinary.

Thank you to Rory Balmer, who shared his experience at the hospital with his partner, Ken McKay. Sadly, we lost Ken on Dec. 25 last year. Rory credits the exceptional lifesaving care they received at MCH with giving him an extra year with Ken.

We also want to acknowledge and appreciate the immense contribution of our talented auctioneer, Suzanne Krainock, who helped us exceed our fundraising goals. Last but not least, a huge shoutout to DJ Clay for providing us with the best sound we’ve ever had.
