The venue will be the same but the date is new: Bibs & Bids – a collaboration between two of the mountain’s Rotary Clubs – will now take place on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 5 to 8 p.m.

The two clubs made the decision to postpone the event due to the Line Fire and its evacuation orders and warnings.

The Crestline-Lake Gregory Rotary Club is putting on their ever-popular Lobsters at the Lake while the Mountain Sunrise Lake Arrowhead Rotary Club will mount their auction. The proceeds from both events support activities and organizations on the mountain.

Tickets will be available for both the lobster dinner and attendance (and bidding!) at the auction. Folks who would just like to attend the auction may purchase those tickets separately; wine and cheese will be included.

New this year at Lobsters at the Lake is a VIP table for six. It includes table service (no waiting in line for your crustacean), a cocktail in a collectible cup, wine and more. For more information, call Jeri-Lynn Miller, president of the Crestline-Lake Gregory club, at (909) 754-9742.

The lobster dinner will take place in the main room at the San Moritz Lodge with the silent auction set up in the Fireside Room. The live auction will move into the main room.

As for the auction items, guests will be able to bid on an oceanfront condo in Oceanside, the Dream Inn in Santa Cruz and a two-night stay at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa (staycation!). There will be smart TVs and a plethora of gift cards to local restaurants and grocery stores. There will be art, gift baskets and a “ginormous” Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie swag basket.

Be sure to wear your dancing shoes as the DJ will be spinning lots of great tunes.

Tickets for the lobster dinner and auction are $75. Tickets for the auction only, with wine and cheese, are $20. Both may be purchased by visiting www.crestlinerotary.com.
