Rebuilding Together Mountain Communities
It’s time to find friends of Rebuilding Together Mountain Communities who want to be a home sponsor for the April 2025 Rebuilding Day. Any individual, business, church, organization or foundation is welcome to sponsor a home on Rebuilding Day and will be rewarded with a yard sign in front of the recipient’s home. But the recognition that one gets inside by helping a mountain neighbor in need far outweighs any physical sign stuck in the ground.
If you want the personal experience for your family or group by directly helping on Rebuilding Day, we want to hear from you.
This month we will be visiting homeowners who have applied for help and will evaluate each for the feasibility and our ability to do the work. The selection process is a trying endeavor; if not for our point system to determine the most in need, it would be impossible.
This our 31st year and is a year of belt tightening as I have pointed out in recent articles. Our finances are low but the board of directors is determined to carry on in some form come hell or high water!
Because of these troubles, our normal Rebuilding Day will look a bit different in some ways but be assured it will have the same heart as always. Hope to see you in April.
