Feeding hope by distributing fresh produce

Operation Provider – the nonprofit founded by Holland Lowe 35 years ago – distributes food to its clients two days a week: Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 2 p.m. In addition, Lowe and her cadre of volunteers distribute turkeys and all the fixings the week of Thanksgiving and put on a Christmas dinner complete with songs and gifts for the children.

To augment their food distribution, Lowe has launched a new fundraising campaign for 2025: Feeding Hope.

“Our families love the idea of receiving fresh fruits and vegetables,” Lowe said. “We’ve been able to provide some on Thursdays – but it’s not enough.”

To help provide additional fresh produce to her clients, Lowe is asking folks to step up and donate to Feeding Hope.

“If this campaign takes off, we will be able to provide so much more,” she noted, adding “it can be very costly to purchase fresh produce from markets.”

By logging on to bit.ly/3W7uh2G, folks can donate as little as $25 or as much as $1,000 – as a one-time donation or monthly, quarterly or annually.

When a donor clicks on one of the donation boxes, a message of thanks and support pops up: “Thanks for making an impact!” “Two words: endless gratitude.” “You’re spreading so much good! Thank you!” “Has anyone told you how amazing you are today?” “Your support helps shine light into the darkness.” “You are a true change-maker.”
