A recital of songs comes to the mountain

On Saturday, Jan. 18 at 3:00 p.m., the award-winning coloratura soprano Kirsten Ashley Wiest will present an afternoon recital of songs for voice and piano with Los Angeles-based Todd Moellenberg.

The recital will take place at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Lake Arrowhead. It will feature songs in Spanish, German, French and English from Mozart to the present day. Admission is free.

Wiest performs internationally, singing and recording with player from the Los Angeles Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan, multiple Grammy winners and chamber groups worldwide.

She holds a doctorate of musical arts from UC San Diego, an MFA from California Institute of the Arts and a bachelor’s degree cum laude from Chapman University’s Conservatory of Music.

In addition, she teaches at San Bernardino Valley College and UC Riverside. She loves exploring, nature, traveling, painting and singing. She and her husband have lived in Lake Arrowhead Since 2017.

This concert is presented by the Arrowhead Arts Association.
