The phrase “Never Forget” is a widely used expression to remember and honor the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack against our country.  During that one attack nearly 3,000 people died. Americans collectively experienced a profound national trauma.

This year at the annual Memorial Day event at the San Moritz Lodge, there will be an opportunity to remember family, friends and loved ones who have given their lives for our country due to war.  A screen, front and center, will be at this Memorial Day gathering. The names of loved ones who have died in battle, or suffered the lingering results of war and conflict, will be scrolled on that screen.

The organizers need you to give them their names.  For example: my Dad died as a result of WW II. John’s Dad never came home from Vietnam.

We all have names of friends we don’t want to forget, who never truly came home. Maybe the last day of high school graduation was the last time we saw them. Others never recovered from PTSD or other wounds inflicted upon them.

Please fill out the QR code on the flyer or send their information to mtnveteran25@yahoo.com – including name, branch of service, years they served, military rank, and which war or conflict they served in.

The Memorial Day event will take place at the San Moritz Lodge on May 26 at 11 a.m.  Never Forget!
