The Lake House in Cedar Glen celebrated its 20th anniversary on May 24 by inviting the community to a party that featured pulled pork sliders and champagne as well as other treats made from the gourmet foods sold at the shop by owner Robin Lyles (1).

Outside The Lake House, guests were treated to music by Brenden Watson and Jaden Martinez (2), members of the Rim High jazz band. Two artists – Linda Brown and Debra Holladay (3 and 4) were painting plein air while folks could watch the progress of their canvases.
Author JoAnn Dickinson was there to share her children’s books, including her new chapter book Secrets of Hawthorne Manor. She signed books for young readers, including 7-year-old Garrett (5), who could not wait to start reading his copy.
Throughout the day, Lyles called out the names of the winners of the raffle prizes – a breakfast in bed tray, a wooden sailboat and a large flameless candle, among others.
First Fridays at The Lake House will begin on July 4 with artists Scott Pryde and Kelly Lingel. The Lake House is located at 28966 Hook Creek Road in Cedar Glen. Visit www.lakehousecollection.com.
